Accelerate the Legislative Progress

The Republican led legislature has made great progress in keeping our Rainy-Day Fund FULLY FUNDED. My opponent takes great pride in how she has worked against those efforts. We should continue to protect that while lowering corporate taxes and streamlining regulations, so it is easier for businesses to invest and expand in North Carolina.

Historic Preservation Tax Credits

Growing up, the roof over my head and the food on my table was often provided by Historic Preservation. My father’s construction career kept him as a fixture on Front Street and in the city/county offices ensuring these buildings would last as great assets for generations to come. Personally, I have invested in historic structures and I am currently working on a home approved for historic preservation tax credits. My opponent voted against the current historic preservation tax credits that were approved for 10 years. 

Safe Roads and Bridges

Continued investment in our roads and bridges is critical to North Carolina’s ability to be competitive. As your representative, I will fight to keep annual investment in our infrastructure so that current and future generations benefit from safe roads and bridges.
